The Mad Chase For Russia-Gate Prey

https://t.co/bTRTgAftRV

"As the Russia-gate imbroglio proves, a grave danger in journalism comes when the pack is running headlong in pursuit of the same prey...It appears that the scuttlebutt among CNNers is that Russia-gate is a lot of hot air but no one cares because it is sending viewership through the roof. But the problems of Russia-gate date back to the beginning..."

being the #2 economy behind communist China.

I once glibly referred to "communist" China having a stock market, but someone pointed out that they actually do have one.  Seems they actually have two, actually.

WWWTT

Yes true china has a stock market and investors. They also have casinos in Macao. They treat the stock market like the casino, don't bring more money than you can afford to give away! Where as in the west many people invest everything they earned their whole lives in the markets. Big differences in communism vs capitalism thinking!

But going back to Russia gate, it appears that the US has no interest in demonizing china, the clear winner and in world politics with probably the best politician in the world right now Xi JinPing 习近平。Trump even abandoned going after North Korea when 习近平 countered his comments with own proving who the best world leader is.  Together with the long standing US post WW2 tradition of desperately searching for an enemy the US can beat up and say "hey everybody in the world look at us, these people are bad, they do bad things (we don't really have evidence they're bad so take our word for it) and keep using our US dollars to trade with.

Obviously china is flexing its economic might, squeezing out the US dollar in international trading. Last hope for the US is Western Europe and Russia is the best hope in a last ditch effort Middle East trading obviously is in there.

Looks like Russia is probably China's new pit bull bitch replacing North Korea

Ya, I'm not sure that investing some capital in a private company in return for part ownership really qualifies as "communist thinking".

That sentence would have still said all it set out to say without the word "bitch" in there for no reason.

WWWTT

Hi Mr Magoo maybe I'm saying more than what you think? Or what you want to hear? The word "bitch" was thrown in there for dramatics and display this is not a serious issue. More an issue of just current international geopolitical cosmetics from my perspective.

Mr. Magoo Mr. Magoo's picture

It's just not a word we use lightly around here, for reasons that I hope are obvious.

WWWTT

Ya sorry I have no idea what you're talking about?

Mr. Magoo Mr. Magoo's picture

Ya, Ok.  We don't generally talk about "bitches", even in a canine context.

Work with me here.  I'm only trying to help.

WWWTT

I don't think I would refer to a person as a bitch. It was within the context of an entire country. Are you Russian? 你是中国人吗?well either way, I will try to avoid making insults to any posters here. But I have so far seen other language on rabble just as course so I won't stop using any particular word for just the sake of the word.

Bitch is a common misogynist statement but its general use does not change its meaning. It uses the female sex as an insult. Please do not use it because at a minimum it is disrespectful on a chat board with a feminist bent.

WWWTT

Nope sorry that's an old misuse of the word that I believe first refers to females of the canine family of dogs. My use is is not sexist someone who is subservient to another. It can be either masculine or feminine and my use was actually neither orientation. I think this is a generation thing and how the word may have been abused by borderline illiterates. Language is constantly evolving, believe me I study Mandarin dialect Chinese,an ancient language with uncountable idioms and many meanings for one single character. Getting worked up over the word bitch can actually be interpreted as ignorance of the complexity of language. You want to get worked up over a single words different application and meanings? Go figure this one out 之 pinin spelt zhi.used in place of an objective noun or pronoun. Another application-certain set phrases without definite designation. 之 also has other definitions.

wwwtt Language is important and does have power and can have negative effects.

" Getting worked up over the word bitch can actually be interpreted as ignorance of the complexity of language. "

Your jump to an insult based on you being less ignorant is laughable and befitting an adolsecent. Are you fifteen?

WWWTT

I wish I was 15 again! And if I said something to make you think I'm 15, maybe I'm saying the right thing then. Hey look brother I remember when the media jumped on the "radicalized" band wagon, to expend on the term "terrorist ". This really ticked me off because the term terrorist was already being abused and twisted for political reasons and by governments in the west to justify military campaigns in the ME. So should I get pissed off if someone on this board were to use either of these two terms? Yep I would! But I wouldn't expect them to stop using them. Ok say I get your point and I will watch how I will use the term "bitch" because according to the warnings my brothers/sisters are giving me I'm going to get a "black eye" from it. You guys happy now?

At least we have an indication of what we can expect from you.

Why should an adult be proud of that when by definition an adolescent is totally up to the job?

Couldn't care less.  I was only trying to give you a heads-up, but you're acting like we're the "squares" who took your toy away.  You want to sulk, or grow up?
