SBIS

Hi everyone, I know we are all busy with the holidays right now, but as we gather with our friends and families, let us take a second to drum and take our minds back to the women (and their families and friends) who have been disappeared by the hands of violence.

Right now, you can do two things to help the good work being done to bring about justice for murdered and missing Indigenous women and their friends, family and community.

1: Please sign this petition for the Walk4Justice to call for a National Public Inquiry into the extremely, unacceptably high number of murdered and missing Indigenous women.

2: Please vote for Gladys Radek for the Champions of Change contest at the CBC. Her organization is Walk4Justice and her cause is murdered and missing Indigenous women

“Walk4justice will be leaving Vancouver, BC, June 21, 2011 arriving in Ottawa, Ontario September 2011 for opening day of the fall sessions of parliament. (usually shortly after labour day)This list will be presented to the prime minister of Canada upon our arrival in Ottawa in September 2011.

We need to take a stand for justice, closure, equality, basic human rights and ACCOUNTABILITY for our missing and murdered women and the families and children they left behind. We need to let them know that these women were loved and never to be forgotten. We need to be their voice so that we can stop this on going legacy of genocide by murder

Please, if you know someone who is missing or that has been found murdered and still unsolved, give us their names, where and when they went missing. Then we can present, to the prime minister, a true number of our women who have been victimized by this horrible legacy. We can be the voices for their children, our future leaders. We need a National Public inquiry into the deaths of our women!

Prayers for safety, health and prosperity to all and thank you for your invaluable time and support.

All my Relations,
Gladys Radek”
