I think it might be a suggestion to update the Canadian Politics forum to remove the line "Layton lovers," as Jack is no longer the party leader now that he has passed away and the NDP will have a new leader soon. Thoughts?

Caissa

Some of us still feel the love.

Krago

Spare a tear for the poor folks over at Liblogs.  They still have a pensive-looking Michael Ignatieff staring down at them from political heaven, along with Trudeau, Pearson and Laurier.

Yeah, someone mentioned this shortly after Jack's death, A24. I'm of Caissa's mind that some of us still feel the love, but your point is taken that eventually the tagline will have to go. I'm open to suggestions!

Caissa

When another leader leads the NDP to more than 103 seats in the House of Commons, then it will be time to change the tagline.

That's some hard medicine, Caissa.

And Krago, that is hilarious. And rather depressing.

I can just imagine if babble existed in the late 1980s, having a tagline like "Broadbent buddies," and leaving it up for 20 years!

Caissa

Broadbent is still very much alive, Layton isn't. What would you prefer "Mulcair's Manglers"  or "Topp's Tempest"?

Now that Harper has been gone for close to 2 years, I think it's time to revisit this idea, remove the "Layton Lovers" and "Harper Harpies," and move on.
