It depends on how you wish to define "right". It's a rather different paradigm than in Canada. There's the "right" with regards to security policy, etc., exemplified by Likud and Yisrael Beteinu and then there's the "religious right" exemplified by Degel HaTorah and Agudath Yisrael (operating together as United Torah Judaism). The religious right's main concerns are both issues of religious law and getting massive amounts of government money to support their schools and Torah studying lifestyle. THe reason the last coalition governmentn under Livni collapsed was because the religious right pulled their support over Livni's lack of support for housing subsidies. Given that the "Charedi" (ultra-orthodox) sector is by far the fastest growing demographic with birth rates multiple times that of the rest of the country, they will soon become the dominant force in Israeli politics.

I think all discourse on this topic could benefit from using clearly descriptive contemporary terms of the human rights violations of Palestinians by the government of Israel without constant reference to historical parallels. Not that those parallels shouldn't be brought forward (they have, after all, veracity), but perhaps a more judicious use of those comparisons might lead to more productive debate.
