G'day!

Glad to be aboard... I feel passionate about many things... I am eager to participate in some discussions here...

Caissa

I wondered when Brad Lavigne was going to join. Wink

Unionist

Welcome, superbrad! And don't mind Caissa... he's just impersonating a mythical Thracian dryad these days...

Caissa

Art thou denying my divinity, Unionist?

Unionist

Nay verily, I affirm it and humble myself in its transcendent aura!

ETA: Now I know what zugzwang feels like...

Caissa

I knew I could humble thy atheist soul. Wink

Unionist

Doesn't take much - but, inspired by the Beatles, my soul bounces right back!

Rubber Soul, U?

Unionist

Bingo!

Thanks for the warm welcome... I think...lol

Welcome, 0.029718 m²!

Greetings and salutations.

Caissa

How do you know the first measurement was in mm? Awful sloppy lab report from this newbie.

superbrad

And to think I just wanted to introduce myself.... Undecided

Unionist

Oh God, I know what's going on - it's the end of days. All these newmerical newbies. Our number's up.

Wow, you're right... You mean, it coulda been 29.718 metres? I should have known never to jump to conclusions in metric.

You did well. It's the rest of us that are dysfunctional. Welcome yet again! Now go join or open a thread and start tossing some opinions or questions around! In good health.

Caissa

Unionist,

Superbrad does know that this is a 21st c. versiion of Bedlam, doesn't s/he?

So we suddenly get three new babblers - with consecutive babbler numbers - all of whom have names composed of digits.

I call Invasion of the Right-wing Sock Puppets.

Slumberjack

I'm smelling another board war.

762x39mm

Unionist is right, both are in mm. It would be rude to use to different units of measurement and only label one!

But, it's suppose to be 7.62, not 762, wasn't sure if I was allowed to use periods.

Slumberjack

It's a cartridge size that fits the AK47 rifle.

Caissa

297.18 square millimeters? I know. The size of Harper's brain.

ETA: The 7.62 also fit the FN-C1

762x39mm

*7.62x51mm fits the fn-c1.

7.62x39mm also fits the sks, vz58, and various other rifles.

What's with the personal attack against Harper?

Caissa

Was it too subtle?

superbrad

Is this possibly the worst welcome thread ever?..... hahahaha...

Let's unite and hate Bob Rae equally!!!

Yes..the 51mm size.

It's not even the worst one today.

And the day is still young!

The 6.5x55 is clearly superior to the 7.62x39. Cartridge of the peasantry and the unwashed masses, I say.

Well, brain size wouldn't be squared, but cubed. So not subtle. Just doesn't make any sense

Caissa

Harper can't think in three dimensions.

It would if you're just a two-dimensional stick figure, or if some mob of protesters has just flattened your head against a wall. Just sayin'. Mathematics can be very flexible.

762x39mm

Insane! A big bullet going slower is always better then a puney bullet going faster!

I just can't make any sense of what you say. What is third dimensional thinking? Insulting those who are not around to defend themselves?

Caissa

Sorry. I should have stopped my sentence after the third word.

Slumberjack

It's gonna seem like old...even festive times for OG.

superbrad

Pffft.... 6.5 x 55.... give me a .223 anyday.... worst intro thread EVER

EPIC welcome failure

Heh, nice try, Stevie, but we know you are omnipresent. So - stand and defend yourself!

Well hello Superbrad, I think we may know each other from another time and place...

superbrad

..and my thread gets stranger and stranger.....

Not only does the standard loading of the 6.5x55 have your 7.62x39 beat in weight, the 6.5 Swede beats it in ballistic coefficient and sectional density. Not too mention the 7.62x39 has the trajectory has the trajectory of a punted football. (this is the part where I snicker)

What I lack in density I make up for in volume and light weight packing! I think I recall seeing you at Crappy tire wondering why the 6.5 swede is dead!
