Howdy
Here's a quick biography.
I am a middle aged combat veteran with 17 years service from Alberta who currently farms altruistically and operates a small off farm business north of Edmonton. I have Metis blood but no Metis ties. I have multiple children who range in age from 23-8 and one grandchild. All are fluent in French as is their mother. I am not. I tolerate them parlay vouying as I believe it might be of value should we need interpreters when the revolution comes. I do however converse in a bit of Cree.
I lived in a boy’s school run by priests and nuns. My four high school years were in Toronto after the Liberals destroyed Alberta with their NEP and I was sent East. Politically I believe the Wildrose is too far to the left. I am an atheist but have no problems with Christians and their traditions in Canada. I like Jews, support Israel to the point of buying state bonds and outright object to just about everything about Islam. I support immigration only for those willing to assimilate. I reject dual citizenship and support the right of a woman to wear a Burqa.
I have never drank, I have never done drugs. I have never seen the point having watched people do both. I hunt. I fish. I eat meat. I am sexually open minded but oppose prostitution. I support gay civil unions but not gay marriage. I support the right to be gay and equal but object to its promotion to children in any way. I do not support transgender or any other type of paraphilia that has its roots in mental disorder.
I am a strong environmentalist. I have solar panels on my house, evacuated solar tubes on my shop and use a wood gasification boiler to heat my extremely large but largely self bit but recycled home. I support the oilsands and keystone. I do not believe in anthropogenic climate change but believe CO2 and other emissions must be drastically reduced to save our oceans and atmosphere.
I believe money and capitalism is humankind’s grandest achievement. I am wealthy now and while I once struggled for several decades, I never actually knew abject poverty. I believe you make your bed and you should lie in it but have volunteered with a number of service groups who help the poor and needy who are mostly there through a series of poor choices.
Private property is sacrosanct and I believe the three S’s are the solution from endangered species to trespassers. Freedom of Speech and Expression is my religion. It is the only thing of value and worth defending and is under tremendous attack from a myriad of forces in Canada and around the world. I am here to defend it.
My beliefs aren’t set in stone and have shifted radically. Some notable examples over the years include begrudgingly accepting women as almost equal after being smote with the first three daughters in a row, climate change is not caused by man, God does not exist and that following Newton, there needs to be controls on firearms for everyone but me.
This pretty much sums me up. Many contradictions in character and beliefs. I look forward to intelligent and spirited debate from those on the left seeking fresh meat on the right.
Cheers,
