A Tea Bag darling Republican in Virginia wants to revise and enforce sodomy laws (under the guise of 'protecting children')...I wonder how long it will take for some Tory cretin here in Canada to get wind of it and try to introduce it to Canada..It's not a big stretch since Trudeau scrapped sodomy laws here,I'm sure Conservative ideologues would support revising them simply because of that fact.

Helping the poor and the sick is a 'nanny state' to Cons...But they think it's just perfectly fine for government to be in our bedrooms,living rooms,computers and our bodies..Fucking hypocrites.

Geez.... people having to fall back on the resources they had for millennia before the past 20 years. Never mind the question of whether there is any more substance to this than there is to flying cars. And this is hardly the first time this sort of tactic has been tried, over there or on this side of the Atlantic.

Until I see otherwise, I put this down as a summer recess news story. Though if I had to guess at an phantom instigator I'd say it also includes cable companies and copyright holders.

I wonder what the deal is with Joy Smith. The only time I ever hear from her its about sex. Either she's crusading against prostitution, or she wants higher age of consent laws, or she's going on about pronography online, or she's going on about the evils of sex education, or she goes on about being against same sex marriage or being against abortion. Its like unless a public policy issue contains the word "SEX" or has some sort of a sexual angle, its of no interest to her.

I will let the amateur psychologists out there speculate...My grandmother had a friend many years ago who was a pathological neat freak who would obsessively wash everything 20 times a day and would clan the soles or her boyfriend's shoes with a rag every time he came to see her - she would then BOIL the rag in a cauldron of water for an hour afterwards...My grandmother asked a psychiatrist she knew what he thought and he saud "Obviously your friend sub-consciously feels she has something very DIRTY inside her and she compensates by being a fanatical germ-phobic neat freak". Could this explain Joy Smith?
