NO DOUBTING THOMAS

NDP leader Tom Mulcair talks up the growing gap between rich and poor, the “Trudeau factor” and why he’d make the best PM during a Toronto stop on his recent whirlwind tour of the GTA

To be it's Mulciar and not Trudeau who's looking the most like a PM among the opposition party leaders. I think it's going to be Mulcair who's going to prevent Trudeau from becoming prime minister during the election.

Could someone please start a fourth thread on Mulcair?

I was thinking of an Irish thread in the international forum. Thoughts?

Caissa

Exactly what the Conservatives are counting on!

Don't worry Debater, the biggest obstacle to Justin ever becoming PM will turn out to be Justin himself.

Justin is now such a factor, people want to vote for Harper to stop him. Derp!

living in a luxurious taxpayers paid house in ottawa , Mulcair is worried about the middle class.

I saw you make this same argument on another thread, but there's no evidence to sustain it.

The reason the Conservatives are now tied with the Liberals in the polls is because we had a terrorist attack and Harper has been using the fear of terrorism to scare people into voting Conservative again.

Meanwhile, the NDP remains in a distant 3rd and is being portrayed as soft on terror.  I'm not sure how any of this helps the progressive cause.

Debater, voting for Justin sure doesn't help the "progressive cause." It is increasingly obvious that he is on the right wing of his party. Apart from marijuana legalization there is little that is progressive about him or his handlers.

Niqab comments by Stephen Harper 'undignified,' Tom Mulcair charges

NDP leader charges Harper and Trudeau of using Holocaust reference to divide people

Mulcair also took aim at both Trudeau and the government.

"Using any reference to the Holocaust in relation to the situation in Canada is singularly inappropriate," he said.

"I think that there's been enough inflammatory language both by the Conservatives and by Mr. Trudeau on this."

Mulcair calls Harper’s response “idiotic” after PM gets laughs at his expense

NDP leader Tomas Mulcair questioned the ‘idiocy’ of a response from Stephen Harper after the PM’s response to a potential letter to the United Nations related to entering Syria drew a lot of laughter within the House of Commons.

Mulcair calls for release of senator expenses audit 'as soon as possible'

Sources said former Liberal senator Rose-Marie Losier-Cool has been asked to account for about $100,000. When CTV News contacted her by phone, she refused to comment and hung up.

Sources said that other senators, including Conservative Sen. Dan Lang, have repaid the money. Lang would not confirm that to CTV News.

Sean in Ottawa

I did not like his comment on this -- I think he should demand the report but to suggest more senators have done somethign wrong should come after we have facts to support this.

ajaykumar

Let's also audit the MPs why do they get a pass? #satoffices .

Jacob Two-Two

Absolutely. Let's audit all the MPs. I'm sure there's plenty more Conservative and Liberal malfeasance to find.

Agreed audit all MPs

In 2011 under Jack Layton's leadership the NDP won 103 seats

In 2015 under Thomas Mulcair the NDP won 44 seats

That has to be the biggest drop in number of seats that the NDP has ever experienced.

Mulcair. Leadership abilities. Not so much.

Even if the NDP got zero seats in the next election it would still not be as bad a showing as how the NDP fared under Mulcair.

Let's face it Mulcair was a political train wreck and he took the NDP down with him

Losingest leader in NDP history.
