Uh North...after all the cheerleading you did last fall and winter for Christy Clark-and all the vicious Dipper bashing you accompanied it with, such as the false accusaations that the BCNDP didn't care about "Jobs! Jobs! Jobs!"-I'd strongly suggest you to be a little circumspect in referring to yourself as part of the gang. You might consider leading with an apology before you go there.

As to the by-election...the real question is, will the BC Cons make a strong effort. After all, there are a lot of BC Lib voters who are not thrilled with how Christy handled the election campaign and the post-election period, and there's a potential for the Cons to do better than they usually do(possibly giving the BCNDP a chance for an upset if they can take a high enough vote share) by giving right-of-center voters a chance to punish and (were the Cons able to pull up an upset) potentially destabilize the BC Libs. The Liberal leadership race means there won't be a provincial election anytime soon, so right-wing voters in Kelowna West could feel safe to cast a "kick 'em in the goolies!" vote.
This gives the BC NDP an outside chance at a win, especially if the Greens, in the name of coalition unity, were willing to NOT nominate a candidate of their own in this byelection. If this byelection was happening in a riding where the Greens had run more strongly thatn the NDP, I'd be suggesting that the NDP not contest it.

Having gone forward with Site C, the BCNDP has forfeited any possible chance of persuading BC Green voters to switch parties in this byelection.

The Green Party’s Andrew Weaver is emerging as the big loser in the government’s decision to proceed with the Site C project, because he is on record as supporting it, subsequently flipped to opposing it before a project review was completed and now thinks it “fiscally reckless” to proceed.
