Actually, Boze, it IS sexist to claim that these traits are biological when the science and research studies don't show any such thing. Please go back and revisit the links I've posted that answer all the questions that you've asked just now. Damore cited studies that were outdated and disproven and one current but very methodologically flawed study derided by other researchers in the field. TL:Dr - Damore is full of shit and so are you. Now please go away.

You have an attitude problem and I will not go away. Neither you, nor any researcher of any kind, holds any claim to epistemological supremacy on any subject. All knowledge is provisional and subject to further review. You will not find ANY study in a field as contentious as this that has not been "derided by other researchers in the field," because there is no consensus here. You are not wrong to claim that some of the biological claims are too strong, but it is equally absurd to suggest that genetics play no role in these differences. And it is even more absurd to say that any attempt to assert a place of biology/genetics in the genesis of differences in personality trait distributions between men and women is necessarily sexist. It might well be wrong, but it might well also be right.

It is not possible for an empirical claim that may well be true or may well be false to be sexist!!

Boze: YOU ARE IN THE FEMINIST FORUM.

If you refuse to discuss this issue from a pro-feminist point of view, you have no business here.

You also don't get to tell one of only two women in this thread that her attitude is the problem. Your attitude and the fact that you use more space on the thread than any other single poster is a neon advertisement for male privilege and the reason this forum was created.

In the words of Mona Eltahawy: Fuck off, kitten.

This is the best response I've seen to the diversity memo (excuse the FB link, should be accessible w/o logging in).

You have no particular claim to authority in determining what is pro-feminist and what is not. The memo is not anti-feminist.

I will take up as much space as I possibly can, and I will speak to whoever I want however I want. You fuck off.

Boze, do you know what happens when a man dominates a feminist thread and mansplains what feminism is? He gets the boot. You're not allowed to post in a feminist thread until you can convince me that you have a good understanding of what feminism is. As the forum's description says, discuss feminist issues from a feminist POV. You're in violation of that basic principle. So, off you go, and if I see you back in this thread at any point in the foreseeable future, you will be banned. As for the rest of the guys dominating this thread, just don't.
