Watts leading after 1st ballot in extremely tight contest

Watts 24.54%

Lee 22.03%

Wilkinson 18.09%

Stone 17.25%

De Jong 16.27%

Sullivan 1.82% Drops Off

Pogo Pogo's picture

Are they running it on a Commodore 64 just to stretch out the drama?  Or are they counting manually. If someone's choice loses every step of the way they should offer a refund on their membership.

If there is still time for bets I say Watts has it in the bag.  Lee is going to drop off and his outsider campaign + urban focus should transfer to Watts.

Wilkinson wins - good! I was concerned about Lee

Wilkinson only received 53% of the vote

I suspect Horgan is pleased with this.

Current BC Attorney General David Eby with his ground-breaking hard work on reducing money-laundering taking place in BC’s casinos is burying former Attorney-General and BC Liberal’s new Leader Andrew Wilkinson for his sitting idly by and doing nothing while this money-laundering scheme was taking place. Shame on Wilkinson!

These Liberals just can't seem to get any traction anywhere.

Their latest bellyaching about the Speaker, right after they were part of an unanimous decision to support his findings rings hollow to say the least. Who does Wilkinson think he is kidding!

It doesn't matter who the BC Liberals choose as their next leader, as a leopard doesn't change its spots. These folks are the rich, will govern for the rich, to keep the rich, rich, and the poor, poor.

Opinion: Kevin Falcon’s BC Liberal leadership campaign is aimless after the party’s first debate

The former BC Liberal cabinet minister faced repeated attacks on his personal commitment to the BC Liberal Party during its leadership debate

The Liberals desperately want to be seen as more than just the party of unfettered capitalism, ignoring money laundering or simply not being the NDP. If Falcon doesn’t do more to make amends and still ends up scoring the gig, it likely won’t do much to undo the impression that tolerance of “boys will be boys” bad behaviour remains part and parcel of the B.C. Liberal Party’s brand.

The BC Liberals used to win elections by simply not being the NDP. If a credible Conservative leader runs a strong campaign in the next election they could disappear as the preferred Howe Street vehicle.

Kevin Falcon, BC Liberals new leader is quite the charmer, tearing a strip off one of his MLAs in public like this. Just the kind of boss that most people really dislike.

De Jong dips his toes in federal politics, irks his provincial party leader

Opinion: The longtime Liberal MLA probably will keep his mouth shut now, but is unlikely to walk back his endorsement of Pierre Poilievre
