Tar sands forever-Canada foresaken
voice of the damned

As the Herald points out, in 2017 production shot up by 9% to 2.8 million barrels a day- not  bad for a supposedly languishing tar sands. Production is expected to exceed 3 million barrels this year. It could reach 4.8 million by the year 2030, and 5.5 million by 2038.

With Ottawa’s purchase of a club car on the Fossil Fuel Express these benchmarks may prove conservative. As an investor it must promote a stale dated toxic resource.

How can tarsands oil simultaneously be experiencing such huge increases in production, now and into the future, while at the same time being a "dated" resource?

Please let's try not to respond to this clickbait. It's tiresome.

The mods were notified about this a long time ago(including by me), and they explicitly said that they were not going to censure Billyard's clickbaiting. As far as I'm concerned, that's where the matter ended, though I suppose anyone who wants to is free to petition the mods again.
