Brazil needs it’s communist revolution

Not sure how to title the thread so it may change?

Recent election results in Brazil have clearly shown that the so called Brazilian democracy is nothing more than a front for US spies to cripple socialism in one of the largest countries of the world!

with near 70 thousands of murders each year, this country is literally at war with itself! Unemployment at 13%. And false allegations against anyone remotely anti US make Brazil ripe for a people’s revolution!

I was in Brazil in 2002 just before Lula. My friend, from Colombia, feared him.  The militant left frightens a lot of ordinary people in South America.  Especially if they're communist Che-loving revolutionaries like in Colombia who simply provoke a violent response from well-armed anti-communists. Most people, outside Cuba, don't want a  one-party workers' state.

Jair Bolsonaro, 'Brazil's Trump' Is On Track To Win the Presidency. For Trudeau that Spells Trouble

https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/brazil-bolsonaro-trudeau-canada-1.4873776

"Minorities have to adapt to the majority,' he said, 'or simply disappear'. He said that under a Bolsonaro administration, 'not one square centimetre' of Brazil will be reserved for the country's original inhabitants."...

State media exploits the Brazilian devil to bolster Trudeau's 'good guy' image.

Sorry but when I started this Brazil thread 2 popped up (probably due to slow internet connection combined with me hitting buttons more than once, or something else I did wrong) Either way it was no my intention to create two threads about the same thing

Sorry

Are you referring to mine or another one?

I didn't post on your thread because as a Rosa Luxemburg and Antonio Gramsci fan (among others), I have nothing against the concept of a communist revolution per se as long as one doesn't mean stalinism, but I also don't like to tell other activists what to do and how to define their movements.

I agree that Brazil is a case of extreme inequality. There is such wealth there that it can't be defined as a poor or even a third-world country in the classical sense, but the income and wealth cap is among the largest in the world. And the ruling class is reacting even to the realitively mild reforms such as the bolsa familia and ensuring that universities better represent the racial and class makeup of that huge country.

What Bolsonaro proposes is terrifying, utterly genocidal towards indigenous peoples and highly threatening to Afro-Brazilians, women, LGBTQ+ people and simply poor people.

Ok - if you could just remove the apostrophe from the "it's" in the thread title, and lend it to "babblers" (making "babblers'"), all would be good. Except in Brazil.

BTW...you do realize that everybody who has posted in this thread is as anti-Bolsnaro as you are, right?
