Trump's shambolic Presidential transition:

It's so consistent with the rest of the story. I wonder if it will have any effect on his voters.

quizzical

none. his supporters up here are just the same as there. they think governments should operate on 60 million a year and the rest should be privatized into their pockets even though they operate at a grade3 level of knowledge

The Enemy of Humanity Will Never, Ever Look Like This Again

"The sitting president looks an awful lot like a fairly conventional Republican scumbag with about as many differences from Obama as Obama had from Bush.  Trump's election did not represent the arrival of a new Hitler-like monster, the monster was already here. The call is coming from inside the house. The monster who looks like a monster is always less dangerous than the monster who looks like a nice guy..."

Trump’s former personal attorney Michael Cohen on the conman, sleazebag, liar and crook he used to work for:

So Trump's "collusion" equals, at best :   hush money to porn stars, lying about negotiating real estate deals in Russia while in the middle of an election campiagn to avoid Democratic red-baiting, and possibly having advance knowledge of the DNC email dump?   Was hoping for more steak, less sizzle here.

This is truly touching, though:

"My name is Michael Dean Cohen.I am a blessed husband of 24 years and a father to an incredible daughter and son. When I married my wife, I promised her that I would love her, cherish her, and protect her. As my father said countless times throughout my childhood, “you my wife, and you my children, are the air that I breathe.” To my Laura, my Sami, and my Jake, there is nothing I wouldn’t do to protect you. I have always tried to live a life of loyalty, friendship, generosity, and compassion – qualities my parents ingrained in my siblings and me since childhood. My father survived the Holocaust thanks to the compassion and selfless acts of others. He was helped by many who put themselves in harm’s way to do what they knew was right. 7That is why my first instinct has always been to help those in need. Mom and Dad...I am sorry that I let you down."    /sarcasm

Presenting that as some shocking revelation just goes to show how naive wikileaks is about politics.

OF COURSE if the Democrats think that extreme right-wing Republicans will alienate most voters(which they did, going by the popular vote), they are going to try and massage the media into giving those Republicans the most coverage. That's just the way the game is played.

Look at the ongoing Alberta election. Do you see the Broadbent Institute sending out memes drawing attention to moderate UCP candidates who AREN'T saying batshit crazy stuff?

Well, it probably did work out, in terms of the popular vote. Things were effed up by the electoral college, however. The stupid thing Clinton did was not put more resources into the swing states during the last days of the campaign.
