The Harper government's 'Deport Omar Khadr' bill

John Baglow
Minister of Immigration Chris Alexander's new changes to the Citizen Act are scary. Least because it contains a clause that would allow Omar Khadr to be deported even though he was born in Toronto.

Great book a little dated - wondering if others have read it- by Michael Mandel

Hi All,

I was given this title a few years back by a friend attending her last year at Osgoode. It was eye-opening for me and I was wondering if anyone else has read it.

It's called: How America Gets Away With Murder: Illegal Wars, Collateral Damage and Crimes Against Humanity by Law Professor Michael Mandel

It was published in 2004 by Pluto Press.

If anyone else has purused it I'd love to hear any insights.

It really made me shudder at American (not that current Canadian is winning any prizes) foreign policy, especially surrounding Kosovo and Afghanistan.

Best
