If one more smug BCer *cough* rabble’s west coast people *cough* smugly talks about the smug cherry blossoms and their smug blooming or the beautiful smug biking in the warm smug weather, I’m gonna scream.

We get it : You live in the Pacific Northwest where winter ceases to exist and snow is this funny little thing you tell hushed stories while reminiscing about your non-west coast lives. Great.

But you know what my fellow central and east coast pals? Don’t let it get you down. It’s February. And what other time should it be cold? And, stouts, whiskey and apple cider taste better in the cold. Snowball fights, sledding and skating are more fun in the winter. And let us not forget, you can make candy in the snow. Candy.

So central and east coast friends, let us all look ahead to July when those smug BCers are on month five of their endless grey, rainy days and we’re all lounging on patios and beaches in the balmy summer sun, reminiscing about the awesome candy we ate while skating and then getting a stout.

Well played east coast friends, well played.

But, oh right. It’s Feel Good Friday. Here’s some feel good stuff. For everyone.

  • Okay I know it’s awful and really snowy, but this happened and it makes it all worth it.
