February 6 is the International Day of Zero Tolerance to Female Genital Mutilation. This day is intended to raise awareness about Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) and contribute to the end of this practice worldwide. For 2013, the World Health Organization is focused on the role of health-care providers in the practice.
