OpenWiser is an online fundraising tool aimed at realizing the development of the WiserEarth API, which is designed to help a large community of users and groups access the information available through the wiserearth.org project.
The wiserearth.org site is a user-searchable and editable online database designed to index every organization working for social justice “from neighborhood groups to international NGOs”. The WiserEarth community have so far indexed more than 110,000 organizations. The platform was released as open source in 2008 under the Creative Commons license.
